Happy Easter 2010!

Boy the years go by so fast... We had yet another blessed Easter on Sunday 4/4/10. Our Easter pattern doesn't change much as you can see from 2007, 2008 and 2009.

First, up and at the baskets:

Isa really got involved this year...

Xia sported her bunny ears as she searched for eggs...

Dressed for mass:

It seems the church gets more beautiful every year:

Isa's God family, the Volpes. Yes, their family is about to grow any day now...

After church it was off to Willow Valley for MomMom's yearly gathering. Here are all of the great grandchildren, Claire, Brigid, Nora, Allie, Isa and Xia (minus Katelyn who had to work):

HI!

Pat gives kisses for the grandkids:

Xia plays us some tunes:

Nora tells Claire all about it:

Then it was off to hunt for MORE eggs. Xia is ready with basket in hand:

He is risen, Alleluia - blessings to all this Easter season!

Time to Dye Some Eggs

Hi, it's Xia! Mommy and I had some fun on Saturday night 4/3/10. Using the same kit we used last year, we dyed some Easter eggs.

Pretty good, eh...

Here are some videos too:

Isa's First Birthday Party

Boy did we have a lot of fun on Saturday 4/3/10 celebrating my first birthday. It was actually Mommy's real birthday (she's 41 now). We had a small family party.

First, more fun with some balloons:

Here's the decorated porch:

Aunt Kathy's boyfriend, Hans, made this wonderful wooden toy himself. He carved it with the ring where you see it, it does not come off. Amazing!

Suiting up for my cake:

Mommy made me a nice healthy first birthday "cake":

Here's my big cake. I love me some Sesame Street!

One, two, three, all together now, "Happy Birthday to you..."

Here I go...

Mmmmm, that's yummy:

Xia is enjoying hers too:

Just us girls:

Now to the serious work of opening these presents:

Hey! It's a picture!

Xia 'helps' me open my gifts:

Great Aunt Joanne, Grandy, Great Grandmom and Uncle John watch me open my gifts:

Gee, thanks everyone!

I'm being decorated:

and again:

I'm thinking about walking:

My first few steps:

Ahhh, what a great day. Letting loose now that the big day is over!

Isa is Ready for Anything with Her Backpack

I just love my backpack. Well, technically it's Xia's backpack, but she lets me use it here and there. Here I am on Saturday 4/3/10:

Note my "hi" in the video...

Let's Go for a Walk

We are so lucky to have a stay-at-home Daddy. Now that the weather is nice, he takes us for a walk up to the park most every day so that we can swing and play and get some nice fresh air. Here we are in our stroller on Thursday 4/1/10:

Yep, we have our hats on and sun screen has been applied!

Isa is 1!!

Hey, I turned one on Tuesday 3/30/10. I am now 30 1/2 inches long; that puts me in the 85th percentile. I weigh 17 lbs and 14oz.; that puts me in the 8th percentile. And for those just dying to know, my head circumference is 17 3/4 inches; that puts me in the 50th percentile. I'm not walking just yet, but pulling myself and cruising slowly here and there. I haven't attempted to walk with a push toy...yet. More teeth now too, 2 on top and 2 on bottom and 2 more on top wanting to push through. I'm blessed to be a healthy girl!

Isa Videos

Hi, it's Isa. Here are some videos of me taken on Sunday 3/28/10:

First, I really like balloons - what? they aren't edible?

I also really like Herbie, and I think he likes me too:
