Grandma Comes for a Visit!

We always love it when Grandma comes for a visit. She came on Wednesday 5/19/10 and stayed until early Monday morning 5/24/10.

Here's a picture of her with Isa taken on Thursday 5/20/10:

And who knew you could have so much fun with a 7Up box? Is it a helmet or an alligator trying to eat Xia's head?

Here's some pictures of us after we got home from church on Sunday 5/23/10.

Firs Isa looking very cute:

Then Xia, cute also:

A family shot of the girls:

And a good clip of some serious Isa walking:

Thanks for the great visit Grandma. We'll see you next month at the big reunion!

A Xia Mess and an Isa Song

Xia here. So what happens when you give a 3 year old a pack of sticky notes to play with? Mommy thought she'd give me a little paper to write on and play with because I love stickers and such. Here's what she found on the morning of Wednesday 5/19/10 when she came downstairs:

Oh well, I had a lot of fun even though it wasn't quite what Mommy had in mind.

Later in the day Mommy and I sang a song (Skin and Bones) with Isa. She comes in on the "oooohs" right on cue!

Isa Spinning in her Jumpy Seat

Hi, it's me, Isa. Lately I have enjoyed twisting myself up in my jumpy seat and then spinning. See for yourself. This is me on Sunday 5/16/10. It's a lot of fun!

A Visit to Hands on House

Hi, it's Xia. We just love the Hands on House. On Sunday 5/16/10, Mommy took Isa and I over for some fun.

First, I had to stop by the face painting station to pretty up my face. Then we went to the grocery store area to do some shopping:

Isa was organizing a shelf...I think:

Then it was off to the dress-up area to put on a cool outfit and up to the top of the stairs there to steer the ship:

It was a rough ride, so I needed some help from Isa to stay on course:

Of course, we couldn't leave without hitting the factory area:

And a stop to walk around the garden before we left:

Push Walking Can Be Fun

We have fun daily push walking around the place. Here we are on Wednesday 5/12/10:

Xia is Forty Months Old

That's right, on Wednesday 5/5/10 I turned 40 months (3 years and 4 months) old!

Video Antics

Here are some videos from Wednesday 5/5/10.

First, wonderful Isa kisses:

And big sister Xia helps Isa to walk:

We Wear Our Bathrobes Well

Xia and Isa modeling their bathrobes after bathtime on Monday 5/3/10:

Gitchy Gitchy Goo, are you ticklish under the chin?

It's a Fairie Festival

It's the Mommy. We had fun on Saturday 5/1/10 at the Fairie Festival at Sproutwood Farm in Glen Rock PA. Here we are in line at the entrance - note the protesters at left. We were warned that we were crossing into the "river of fire" by attending the festival. ..

Xia had a blast amidst the huge bubbles:

Paula went ALL OUT on the costumes for Kira and Marlon. LOVE the fan wings she came up with. Kira was nice enough to let Xia wear a pair of her old wings. Note it was like 90 degrees on this day so we were ALL hot!

Xia kept wanting to climb one of the trees in the forest. She forgets that she's only 3 and kept getting stuck in there. Kira helped her:

Marlon didn't need ANY help. He's quite the tree climber:

Isa enjoys some beads hanging in the trees:

We even got to see some live blacksmithing:

Let's all sit down in the cool shade for a bit. Here's Isa with Aunt Paula:

Kira and Marlon enjoy some fresh-squeezed lemonade:

Back to the bubbles...

Let's pose for some photos:

Hurry, we don't want to miss Miss Posie's Tea Party! Miss Posie tells us a story:

Her helpers pour us some tea:

Hey, they're serving cookies with our tea!

Before we go, Xia wants to get some photos as a blond fairy:

We all made it home safe and sound. Some of us a little more wiped out from the day than others. Good times!

Paula, Kira and Marlon Come to Vist

We love it when Aunt Paula and cousins Kira and Marlon come to visit. We had a blast when the arrived Friday night 4/30/10. Here are some videos of the chaos before bed time...

Isa is Thirteen Months Old

That's right! On Friday 4/30/10 I turned thirteen months old. Still cruising around quite a bit. I have taken a few unassisted steps here and there. Getting better at feeding myself and chewing food too. I'm up to 6 teeth now!

Isa Be Cool in Shades

Here I am sporting my "new" shades on Tuesday 4/27/10. Xia and I love that 80s look!

A Visit to a Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center

Hi there, it's me, Xia. On Saturday 4/24/10, Mommy, Isa and I went to Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Center for their open house. This was part of the PA Equestrian Horse Farm Tour. We are so lucky to live in a county with tons of free, fun and educational stuff to do.

Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit organization that has been providing quality equine assisted activities for children and adults with disabilities since 1981

Here I am in front of one of the horse's stables:

We watched a live exercise with the riders and horses - pretty cool!

There were TONS of dandelions to blow all over the farm...

And there were many cats who also live at this farm. This black and white one REALLY liked me:

What a great facility for such a worthy cause!

Isa's Cool Gift from the Volpes

I got a cool play table from the Volpe's for my first birthday. Since they were pretty busy with Silas, they sent it along with Mommy so I could go ahead and open it without them on Friday 4/23/10. Mommy promised to post some video of me opening the gift. So here you go...

Check it - I can say "Hi!":

THANKS to my wonderful God family!

Silas Has Arrived!

We're so happy for our friends, the Volpes, who added their fourth child on Sunday 4/11/10. He came about a month early, but he's doing pretty well. Mommy got to meet him on Thursday 4/22/10. She also found out that she and Daddy have the great blessing and privilege of being his God parents!!

Here are some pics of the cute little guy. First, trying to roll him over for a pic, I don't think he was interested:

Ahhhh, that's better:

A bad shot of his cool Vulcan Ears:

Yeah, Daddy's home!

So glad you made it to the world Silas!! Love you!

Xia is Ready for Tap Lessons

So, when will I be signed up for tap lessons? Don't you think I'm ready. Here's a pic and video from Monday 4/19/10. Mommy got the shoes and outfit from a great consignment sale that happens twice/year. How fun:

Do you have any idea how slippery tap shoes are?!

Isa Gets a Grip

A grip on my lil' dipper that is. Here I am on Thursday 4/15/10 getting better at feeding myself:

Xia Being Xia

I just love my banana stickers (c'mon, you know you've all done the same thing at some point...). Who can resist guilt-free snacking? Actually, I don't like bananas, but I DO like their stickers:

Maybe if I ate some bananas I'd have enough energy to not pass out while reading!

These photos were from Saturday 4/10/10.

It's Taxes Time

Mommy sure looked busy on Friday 4/9/10 getting all of these things called "Taxes" ready. I don't really know what they are, but I didn't appreciate them taking Mommy-time away from me. So I decided to pitch in and help...

Look at me adding up all the numbers:

I'm sure with my assistance there will be no risk of an audit at all!

Xia is Thirty Nine Months Old

On Monday 4/5/10 I turned 39 months old. I'm keeping Mommy and Daddy on their toes these days by pushing the limits wherever I can. Hey, I'm supposed to don't ya know? I really can't help it, it's just part of growing up. That's what they tell themselves anyway...
